EBay 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio

There are a lot of Autoblog readers out there that are anxious to own a 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabrio, and we sure wouldn't mind having one in the Autoblog garage for a few weeks, either. Well, according to an eBay seller, the first 2008 Porsche 911 turbo drop-tops are on a boat from Germany and you can bid on it, even though there's no official confirmation that such a vehicle exists . The auction has a twist to it that we're seeing more and more on eBay: customers are bidding to see who is willing to pay the highest amount over MSRP.

The holder of the auction has of course provided a full list of options included with the car, including Sport Chrono Package Turbo ($1,840), and Carbon Multi Function Steering Wheel ($620). That sounded very exciting and all, but there were a few small problems with the auction that we found a bit odd, beginning with the spy photo above that was provided by the seller.

Ebay Volkswagen : Golf Pope Benedict XVI

This is the same car that caused a media frenzy, and shattered eBay records with over 8.5 millions hits to its’ auction page in May of 2005.
The car which once belonged to Cardinal Josef Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI, was won by GoldenPalace for an impressive €188,938.88.
A few months before being elected head of the Catholic Church, Cardinal Josef Ratzinger decided to sell his six-year-old VW Golf. The vehicle had been imported from Germany to Rome in 1999.
Benjamin Halbe, 21, bought the vehicle without knowing its’ history. It was only when Halbe obtained the car’s registration documents confirming Josef Ratzinger as the former owner that he realized the truly blessed nature of his purchase
